GHG management
GHG management
In order to actively identify key factors for mitigating climate change, Canon conducted a greenhouse gas emissions inventory for the year 2023 in accordance with the ISO 14064:2018 standard and completed third-party verification. In addition to the greenhouse gas emissions from its own operations (Categories 1 and 2), in terms of other indirect greenhouse gas emissions (Categories 3-6), factors such as occurence frequency, potential for improvement, activity data sources, emission coefficient and other significant factors, and identified major indirect GHG emission sources such as upstream raw material emissions from purchased products, logisitcal transportation and goods distribution, business travel and product use. A total of 7 indirect emissions were disclosed. Ability's 2023 greenhouse gas emissions for categories 1 and 2 were 8,604.5827 tons of CO2e.
